The primary emphasis of my practice is representing individuals and companies in the litigation of a wide variety of civil claims, including personal injury lawsuits and commercial disputes involving contract, tort, and employment-related claims. Over the past thirty years I have handled many complex commercial and accident cases, some of which resulted in multi-million dollar recoveries for my clients. In addition to my litigation practice, I also represent large and small companies in the areas of business planning, economic development, labor relations, and employment law, and provide individual clients with services related to estate planning and administration. My breadth of experience in litigation and business law has enabled me to serve as Solicitor for Penn Northwest Development Corporation (the lead economic development agency in Mercer County, the Mercer County Office of the Prothonotary (since 1992), the Shenango Township Zoning Board (since 1984), and to advise start-ups and entrepreneurs at the eCenter at LindenPointe.

As the Managing Partner of Ekker, Kuster, McCall & Epstein, LLP, I am committed to insuring that EKME attorneys use their skills and experience to provide the highest quality of service to our clients, when necessary drawing on our strategic alliances with other regional and national professionals. We often function as gatekeepers for our business clients in handling their primary care and utilizing specialized services where appropriate. Our goal is to solve problems for our clients in a timely and cost-efficient manner, and prospectively assist clients in avoiding future litigation.

[/as-accordion-item][/as-accordion][as-accordion clicktoclose="true" autoclose="false"][as-accordion-item title="Background"]I was born and raised in Mercer County, but left the area to attend high school, college, and law school. After graduating from law school in 1977, I served as a legislative aide in the Congress in Washington, D.C., covering the Energy and Communications subcommittees of the Interstate and Foreign Commerce Committee which at that time passed legislation deregulating the natural gas and telecommunications industries. I returned to Mercer County in 1978 and began practicing law. Prior to joining Ekker, Kuster, McCall, & Epstein, LLP, in 2001, I was a partner at Routman, Moore, Goldstone & Valentino from 1981 to 2000. In addition to providing legal services to the Shenango Valley and surrounding areas through my practice at EKME, I am the President of Scientific Legal Services, a consulting firm which uses statistical data and formulas to predict the outcome of litigation.[/as-accordion-item][/as-accordion][as-accordion clicktoclose="true" autoclose="false"][as-accordion-item title="Associations & Memberships"]Board of Governors of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers (since 2000)
